Back to the marsh.
A stunning, crisp mid- winter morning. Air sharp and clear.
This marsh landing intentional. This particular marsh is within walking distance of home. Pass it frequently. Watch it through the seasons. Always intending to capture its beauty, but never making it a priority. Places to go. Things to do.
But, that day, my priority was the Marsh..
Wish I could say that I'd planned better. Or much at all. Grabbed the camera and headed out.
Serendipity is my Muse. That should probably be the tag line for this blog.
When I shoot, I look at vignettes as a painter. Color? Composition? Texture? Line? Shape? Negative space? Light? Story? And, " Is this something that delights?"
After that, I offer it all up to the Gods of Nikon.
Ok. I do edit the images, but not too often. I like the Happy Accidents. Takes me back to the Old Skool Dark Room Processing and Printing. I love to challenge myself to get it right the first time.
The Marsh Series is unfolding nicely on its own, with a delicate ethereal storybook quality.
Stay for the next chapter.
